Rosaway is a Paris-based disco-jazz duo blending modern electro-pop with retro grooves and cinematic energy. Featuring flutist and vocalist Rachel Ombredane and drummer Stéphane “SteF” Avellaneda, their music fuses electronic beats with organic instrumentation, creating infectious grooves that move from conservatories to dance floors worldwide.

Rachel, classically trained in flute and voice, has performed with Ed Sheeran, Jain, and toured globally with pianist Maksim Mrvica, layering her signature smoky vocals with electrifying flute solos and modern effects. SteF brings decades of international drumming experience, sharing stages with legends like B.B. King and Buddy Guy.
Together, Rosaway redefines alternative pop with a French touch, earning 2025 Grammy consideration in the Best Alternative Album category.

The duo features Rachel Ombredane, a classically trained flutist and vocalist with a degree in Flute Performance, a Diploma in Music Education, and a Master’s in Musicology from the Sorbonne in Paris. Trained in classical singing at the Paris Conservatoire, Rachel later refined her vocal technique with Vania Boneva of the Paris Opera Choir. Over the years, she has developed a signature smoky, warm vocal tone, often compared to the elegance of Sade and the fire of Whitney Houston. Rachel has collaborated with global artists such as Ed Sheeran, Jain, and Broken Back, and toured internationally, including arena performances with acclaimed pianist Maksim Mrvica.

Rachel is renowned for reinventing the flute, taking it beyond classical boundaries into pop, jazz, disco, and funk. Her live performances incorporate pedals, loop stations, and effects, creating rich, layered textures that have earned recognition from music legends like CeeLo Green, Kool & The Gang, and Nile Rodgers, as well as public figures including Shaquille O’Neal and Jennifer Garner. As co-founder of Rosaway, she transforms the flute into a crowd-igniting instrument, blending French flair into English-language and bilingual repertoire.

Joining her on stage is Stéphane “SteF” Avellaneda, an internationally acclaimed drummer with decades of experience performing in over 30 countries. He has shared stages with legendary musicians including B.B. King and Buddy Guy, and serves as the driving force behind Rosaway’s infectious grooves and dynamic live energy.

Together, Rosaway’s innovative sound has earned consideration for a 2025 Grammy Award in the Best Alternative Album category, and continues to redefine alternative pop with a distinctly French touch. Audiences can expect a high-energy, unforgettable evening of music that seamlessly blends electronic beats with organic instrumentation, past and present in perfect harmony.
