Hailed as one of the most successful and talented female pop artists, King has carved out an iconic place in music history. King began her rise to the music hall of fame as the songwriter of classics like “Will You Love Me Tomorrow (The Shirelles) and “Take Good Care of My Baby” (Bobby Vee). In 1971, King’s solo album “Tapestry” launched her to the top of the charts with hits like “I Feel the Earth Move” and “Natural Woman,” winning her four Grammy Awards for Best Record, Song, and Album of the Year, as well as Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female Honors.
With her powerful voice and soulful dedication, Naponelli has captured the true essence of King in this unique and unforgettable tribute experience. Backed by a bold five-piece band, Naponelli pays homage to the iconic Queen of Pop with impressive renditions of “I Feel the Earth Move,” “Chains” and “You’ve Got a Friend” from King’s “Tapestry” album as well as other favorites.

Tina Naponelli: Crystal Lake native, Tina is a proud graduate of North Central College where she studied Theatre Performance. Since graduating, she has created successful cabarets tributed to Sara Bareilles and hits from the Kings and Queens of the music industry. Recent theatre credits include: Tomorrow Morning (Kokandy Productions), Beehive and Suds: The Rocking 60’s Musical (Williams Street Rep), It’s a Wonderful Life and Columbinus 2.0 (American Theater Company).

Evan Swanson (Piano and Vocals/Music Arrangement) Music Director credits include: As resident music director for WSRep, Music Director credits include: Disney’s Freaky Friday, Emma: A Pop Musical, A Christmas Carol, Ring of Fire, Home for the Holidays, Little Shop of Horrors and It’s a Wonderful Life. Also with WSRep as pianist/conductor: Disney’s Freaky Friday, Emma: A Pop Musical, Ring of Fire, Guys and Dolls, First Date, A Christmas Survival Guide, [title of show] and Tenderly.

Ashlyn Seehafer (Vocals) Ashlyn is a proud graduate from North Central College and has been performing in Chicago since 2016. She has been a part of the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival two years running and had the privilege of originating the role of Beth in the musical comedy Musical Therapy, recently workshopped in New York. Ashlyn recently completed her standup comedy course at the Annoyance theatre, and when she isn’t auditioning for Chicago plays, she can be seen at local standup comedy open mics. Seehafer has been singing her whole life, and is so thrilled to be on stage again with her fellow NCC alumni in Tapestry Unraveled.

Jeremy Montoto (bass/guitar) is a much sought-after bass player throughout the Chicagoland area. He has played for national touring band, Bella Cain as well as a variety of musical theatre projects.

Janet Cramer is a versatile 20+ year experienced drummer/percussionist from Chicago. She is well-versed in a variety of music genres and has played for many years in Chicago’s Blues circuit including Kingston Mines and Blues Chicago. She has been a drummer for original projects including Jenny Dragon, Congress of Starlings, and Sandra Antogniorgi as well as conga for Grupo Cha Cha and her own Latin Jazz projects. She has played for several musical theatre projects throughout Chicagoland.

Wouldn’t It Be Loverly? The Music of Julie Andrews

For over 70 years, Julie Andrews has been a beloved star of stage and screen beginning on Broadway in My Fair Lady and Camelot and such classic films as Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. She has won an Oscar, 2 Emmy Awards, 3 Grammys, and 6 Golden Globes. An all-star cast brings the beautiful and poignant songs from Julie Andrews’ repertoire to the stage for a loverly afternoon.
Join this wonderful cast of artists and our fabulous Music Director, Ken McMullen, for a loverly afternoon of music and stories about Dame Julie Andrews.

Mark Sanders, a South Florida resident, has appeared in numerous productions and concerts around the world. He is a favorite guest soloist with the Gulf Coast Symphony in Fort Myers as well as the Naples and Bonita Springs Concert Bands. Mark was seen as Perchik on the Broadway National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof starring Theodore Bikel. Regionally, he has performed at such prestigious theatres as Lincoln Center, Goodspeed Opera House, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera and Sacramento Music Circus. Mark celebrates 27 years as a member of Actors’ Equity Assoc. Credits include: Mamma Mia (Harry), Memphis, Bridges of Madison County (Bud), Passion (Col. Ricci), Ragtime (Father), Murder Ballad (Michael–Carbonell Award), Next to Normal (Dan), Merrily We Roll Along (Charlie), A Little Night Music, The Secret Garden (Archibald), Music Man starring Jeff Goldblum, Jesus Christ Superstar, Blood Brothers, Phantom, Miss Saigon, and Jekyll & Hyde. Mark is a 2-time JOSIE AWARD ‘Tribute Artist of the Year nominee for his solo show ONE VOICE: The Music of Barry Manilow. Kaity Paschetto (She/Her) is thrilled to make her Raue Center debut. Recent Metropolis credits: Ragtime, Cabaret, Legally Blonde, and Anything Goes. Other credits include Shrek (The Stephen Foster Story), Elf (Wagon Wheel Theater), The Light in the Piazza (University of Michigan), and the world premiere of 2076 (Columbia University). Offstage, Kaity is either teaching dance in the studio or tending vegetables in the garden. Many thanks to Ethan, family, and friends for their love and support. University of Michigan BFA – Go Blue!
Zachary Linnert (he/him) is thrilled to make his Raue Center debut, after recently moving from Hawai`i. Previous credits include: “Waitress” (Pomatter), “Kinky Boots” (Charlie *Po`okela Award for Best Actor), “Holiday Inn” (Jim), and “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” (Monty). A trained ASL interpreter, Zachary has also interpreted at Paper Mill Playhouse for “Damn Yankees”, “25th Annual…Spelling Bee”, and “On the Town”. Tommy Hensel has worked as a professional singer, actor, director, and arts presenter for over 35 years. He is a native of Columbia, SC and holds a BA in Music from Florida State University and an MA in Theater from the University of South Carolina. He was the Founding Artistic Director of the Harrisburg Shakespeare Festival in Pennsylvania and has directed over 75 productions in his career, with a special emphasis on the works of Shakespeare. He was co-producer of the annual “Cabaret By The Sea” festival in Ogunquit, ME and has performed as a cabaret artist for the past 20 years in both New England and in the Chicago area after relocating here in 2008. Since that move, he has worked primarily as an arts presenter first at Moraine Valley Community College and now at Elgin Community College. He recently served six years on the board of directors of NAPAMA (North American Performing Arts Managers and Agents), is Chair of the Illinois Presenters Network, and currently serves as board president for Heartland Performing Arts, an organization founded to create a new tradeshow for the touring performing arts industry. As an actor, he has performed with theater companies in 14 states, primarily in musical theater productions. Favorite Sondheim roles include Kayama in “Pacific Overtures,” Henrik in “A Little Night Music” and Mysterious Old Man/Narrator in “Into the Woods.”
Jenna Payne is “excited, and scared” to be performing the music of her favorite musical theatre composer & lyricist! Recently, Jenna performed with Lisa Rock on the 2022 tour of A Carpenters Christmas and, she has released her own cover songs on Spotify with her music producer husband, AJ! Kevin Pease is a multi-faceted performing artist and is thrilled to be joining this incredible roster of artists to celebrate the genius of Stephen Sondheim. He has performed in a multitude of different genres across the country: in theatre, cabaret, opera, and on concert stages. Favorite credits include Street Scene ( Dick McGann, Off-Broadway, DiCapo Opera), West Side Story (Tony, Alhambra Theater), Yeston and Kopit’s Phantom (North American Tour), Next to Normal (Dan, Kennedy Theater Festival), Songs for a New World (Bright Foundation), Something Rotten (Nick Bottom, Po’okela Award for Best Actor, Diamond Head Theater). As a director, he recently directed the regional premiere of the musical Waitress in Honolulu and directed Broadway star Tituss Burgess’ first solo show at Manhattan’s Ars Nova. Kevin is the founder of SPARKed Arts Consulting whose mission is to spark greater joy in education through a greater integration of the arts in learning communities. He also serves as Artistic Director of Chicago’s Beverly Arts Center. When not on stage, Kevin loves nothing more than spending time with his guys: cat Charlie, and husband Zachary.
Lisa Rock has been singing and acting professionally for nearly 40 years. Her original plays have appeared in Minneapolis, NYC, and Chicago. Regional work: Ordway (The Wizard of Oz), New Tradition (The Heidi Chronicles; Godspell), Light Opera Works (The Mikado), Bailiwick, Sunshine Playhouse (Fiddler on the Roof), Metropolis (To Kill a Mockingbird; A Christmas Carol), American Theatre Co (Half-Life), The Golden Apple (Beauty and the Beast; Big) and Centerlight. She’s been a proud member of Actor’s Equity for 17 years. Lisa is the lead singer, writer, and producer of the longest-running Carpenters’ tribute band in North America: Close to You: The Music of the Carpenters. She’s written more than 25 original concerts and cabarets that have been performed across the country including Close to You: The Music of the Carpenters and A Carpenters’ Christmas. Since starting the Close to You show in 2010, the band has been seen by over 250,000 people in 41 states, playing nearly 400 shows. • WEATHER POLICY: Arts On The Green @ St Mary’s is an open-air venue, and refuge cannot be provided in severe weather. In the event of rain or inclement weather, this show may be moved to our mainstage at 26 N Williams Street Crystal Lake or rescheduled for a later date. The decision will be made by 3 pm the day of the performance and an email notification will be sent to all ticket buyers. Please note: if the event is relocated to our mainstage, no outside food or drink is permitted inside the theater.
• WATCH YOUR STEP! There may be uneven ground. Enter at your own risk. Raue Center is not responsible for personal injury or loss of property.
• NO SMOKING or vaping on the church grounds, please.
• Please, BE RESPECTFUL of St. Mary’s Memorial Garden. Do not enter the garden during the event or sit or place items on the wall.
• Picnic blankets and folding chairs are welcome. Please refrain from bringing large items that might obstruct the view of other patrons.
• FREE PARKING on the street and in the church parking lot is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
